Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy explains how we process personal data when you use middly.dev and get in touch with us. We apply Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is:

  • MICHAŁ KUKIEŁKA MIDDLY
  • Tax ID (NIP): 5833449726, REGON: 521901211
  • Address: ul. Profesora Romualda Cebertowicza 8D/38, 80-809 Gdańsk, Poland
  • E-mail: hello@middly.dev
  • Phone: +48 663 155 804

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. For any matter concerning personal data, write to the e-mail address above.

2. What data we process and why

This site has no forms and no user accounts. Personal data reaches us only when you contact us yourself, and as the technical data described below.

E-mail and phone contact

We process the data you give us: your name, e-mail address, phone number, company name and position, and the content of your message or call. We do this to answer your enquiry, prepare an offer and discuss working together. Legal basis:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at your request before entering into a contract,
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in business correspondence, including when you contact us on behalf of your company.

Technical data

On every visit, the hosting server records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, the page visited and the browser type. We use it to keep the site running and secure, under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. How long we keep data

  • Correspondence – until the conversation ends; if it does not lead to cooperation, no longer than 12 months after the last contact.
  • If the conversation leads to cooperation – for its duration and until claims become time-barred, and billing documents for the period required by tax law.
  • Technical data – for a short period set by the hosting provider.

4. Who we share data with

We use external providers that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

  • Zoho Corporation B.V. (Netherlands) – e-mail; data is stored in a data centre in the European Union,
  • Vercel Inc. (USA) – website hosting and visit statistics.

Vercel may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses.

Public authorities may also receive data where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

5. Browser storage

This site does not use cookies. It stores two values in your browser's local storage (localStorage):

  • middly:lang – the site language, saved only when you change it yourself,
  • middly:theme – the colour theme you picked (light or dark).

These stored values are not sent anywhere and cannot identify you. They are strictly necessary to remember a choice you make yourself, so they do not require consent (Art. 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). You can delete them by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

6. Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to know how many people visit the site, where they come from and which elements they use (such as the contact button or switching language or theme). It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. Visits are recognised by a hash of the request data that changes every 24 hours. We only see aggregated statistics and cannot identify you from them. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our interest in improving the site.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy,
  • have your data corrected,
  • have your data erased,
  • restrict processing,
  • data portability, where we process data under a contract,
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest.

To exercise these rights, write to hello@middly.dev. We will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).

8. Final provisions

Providing data is voluntary, but without it we cannot reply to your message. We do not make automated decisions or profile you. We may update this policy; the current version with its date is always available on this page. Company details are in the legal notice.
